A BAHÁ'Í VIEW OF THE

The Second Coming*The Resurrection of the Dead*The Rapture*The Mark of the Beast (666)*The End-Times Anti-Christ*The New World Order

THE SECOND COMING

In the Book of the Acts of the Apostles, written by Luke, a disciple of Paul the Apostle, chapter one, we read of an account that Jesus "appears" to His disciples for 40 days after His resurrection, teaching them "things pertaining to the Kingdom of God" (Acts 1:3). On the 40th day, He appears to the disciples on the top of the Mount of Olives (Olivet); which is a small hill just outside the East Gate of Old Jerusalem (now inside the city). The apostles of Jesus see Jesus ascend into a cloud (disappears into a cloud).

Bahá'ís believe this was a "vision"; not a literal event. No physical body flew up into a cloud. This was a "vision" and not a physical happening.

Suddently, two "men in white" appear and tell the apostles the following:

"Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. " (Acts 1:11)
The two "men" in white were NOT addressing YOU, nor ME, but the Apostles. They were saying "You apostles will see Jesus de-cend as you saw Him a-cend!"

Christians believe that Jesus will return be descending from a cloud on the top of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, then walk through the East Gate of Jerusalem, then go to Megiddo and defeat the Anti-Christ, then return to Jerusalem and rule the Earth for 1000 literal years inside a new Jewish Temple.

Mormons believe that Jesus will retun to Jerusalem and to Jackson County, Missouri, where the City of New Jerusalem will be built, with a massive Temple, and Jesus will reign from there or perhaps from Jersualem and New Jerusalem (Jackson County) for a period of 1000 years, etc.

According to the ancient Gnostic Christian book Pistis Sophia, Jesus descended from a cloud on the Mount of Olives 11 years after He ascended, and taught the Apostles many more truths; found in that book.

In Greek, Pistis Sophia means "Faith's Wisdom".

Why do Christians think that Jesus will return descending from a cloud on the Mount of Olives? Because of the above One Verse in the Book of Acts!

Christians of every century think the Angels were talking to "them". For example, Christians in the first century thought the Angels were addressing "them". Christians in 10th century thought the Angels were addressing "them". Christians in the 19th century thought the two Angels were addressing "them". Christians in the 20th century thought the two Angels were addressing "them". But...the two Angels were addressing Jesus' Apostles--the very men whom they were addressing!

The two Angels on the Mount of Olives were NOT speaking to YOU! They were speaking to the Apostles of Jesus!

They were saying: "Don't worry, YOU [The Apostles of Jesus] WILL SEE this same JESUS come in the same manner he went up into heaven (i.e. from a cloud).

These two Angels were NOT addressing Christians in the 2nd.3rd,4th,5th,6th,7th,8th,9th,10th,11th,12th,13th,14th,15th,16th,17th,18th,19th,20th, nor the 21st century! They were addressing (talking to) the Apostles of Jesus! They were saying YOU APOSTLES OF JESUS (not YOU dear Reader, but the Apostles whom they were speaking to) will see THIS SAME JESUS again when He will DE-CEND upon this mount in the same manner as He AS-CENDED!

And they did...11 years later...as recorded in the Pistis Sophia (written by the Apostle Phillip) and the Letter of Peter to Phillip written by the Apostle Peter.

This "descent" of Jesus from a cloud, 11 years after He ascended, is also mentioned in the ancient Christian work The Letter of Peter to Phillip; another ancient Christian work that was recognized by the earliest Christians as inspired of God. However, later Catholic Councils rejected both the Pistis Sophia and the Letter of Peter to Phillip as containing false doctrine (i.e. doctrine contrary to the Catholic Church). These epistles were rejected as "heretical". Why? Because they had things in them which contradicted Catholic Church doctrine.

But....remember Galileo? He said the Earth revolved around the Sun. That contradicted Catholic Church doctrine too! But...who was wrong? Galileo, or Catholic Church Doctrine?

Let me ask you, Dear Reader, this question: What right did the Catholic Council have to declare the Pistis Sophia and the Letter of Peter to Phillip "heresy" (false)? Who gave them that "right"? The Emperor of Rome did. What "right" did he have? No "divine" right, to be sure! No Pope ever did! A Catholic Council "voted" on the Pistis Sophia and voted it "heresy". What "divien right" did they have?

None.

Bahá'ís believe that there is no resurrection of the physical body. The body returns to dust and the spirit returns to God (Eccl. 12:7).

But...did not the Apostles "see" Jesus for forty days after His resurrection? Did not He eat fish and honeycomb? Did they not feel the wounds in His hands and side?

Yes!

What the Apostles of Jesus "saw" on the Mount of Olives was a "vision". They saw the ethereal body of Jesus ascend. The physical body, we believe, is still buried somehwere in Jerusalem. This will be a SHOCK to Christians (and Mormons) reading this, but this is what the Faith teaches. Dust (physical body) returns to dust, but the Ethereal Body can be "seen" in visions. The Ethereal Body is not a "ghost" but is something "between" a ghost and a physical body. According to the Tibetan Book of the Dead, it is called the "Bardo" (intermediate) body, and lasts for 49 days after the death of the physical body.

Sometimes when people see "ghosts" the ghosts have no shape, or are mists. Other times, they see a "ghost" who looks exactly like a physical body, and that "ghost" can even pick up things! Immaterial ghosts are "spirits". But ghosts with a physical presence is an Ethereal Body; which is capable of doing anything physically, but is not bound by physical laws.

In the Gospels we read that three days after His death, Jesus appears among the Disciples and asks "Have you any meat?" and the disciples bring Him fish and honeycomb which He eats.

Ethereal Bodies can even "eat". Three angels appeared to Abraham and "ate" with Him (Genesis 18:6-8). In the Book of Tobit (once part of the Christian Bible), the Angel Raphael "eats" with Tobit. But angels do not have "physical" bodies, but Ethereal Bodies. In The Book of Tobit (still in all Catholic Bibles) it says:

"And as they went on their journey, they came in the evening to the river Tigris, and they lodged there.
2 And when the young man went down to wash himself, a fish leaped out of the river, and would have devoured him.
3 Then the angel said unto him, Take the fish. And the young man laid hold of the fish, and drew it to land.
4 To whom the angel said, Open the fish, and take the heart and the liver and the gall, and put them up safely.
5 So the young man did as the angel commanded him; and when they had roasted the fish, they did eat it: then they both went on their way, till they drew near to Ecbatane." (Tobit 6:1-5)
Angels do not have physical bodies, but Ethereal Bodies. They are not mere "spirits" (ghosts), but something "between" a spirit and a physical body.

Jesus was raised in His Ethereal Body; not His physical body; which returned to dust, as all physical bodies do.

MUHAMMAD IN THE BIBLE

Muhammad was born in Mecca in the late 6th century, and was a "haw-neef" (deist) who believed in God but rejected all organized religion. One day while in a cave near Mecca he saw a "man" in the cave. The man said "Recite!" Muhammad was stuned, and said, "I cannot read!" The man said "Recite!" Muhammad said, "I cannot read!!!" The man said, "Recite the Verses which thy Lord shall put into your mouth!"

Muhammad got scared and ran outside, but he saw the "man" standing in the air upon the horizon. That is when Muhammad knew that the man was an Angel; who identified himself as "Jabril" (Gabriel).

Muhammad went into trances, and revealed 114 poems which became known as "The Recital" (al-Qur'an); the Holy Book of Islaam.

In the 7th century, a Pope designated Muhammad as "The False Prophet" of the Apocalyse. But, he wasn't. The "false prophet" of the Apocalyse was Simon Magus; a "enchanter" (hypnotist) who made people think the statues of Nero could talk and move. Simon Magus was the founder of Gnosticism (Nostis-sism), and proclaimed he was the "Christ".

Most Christians are unaware that the Prophet Muhammad is mentioned in the Apocalype in these Verses:

"And I saw, and behold, a white horse, and its rider had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer." (Rev. 6:2)

"Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war." (Rev. 19:11)

The One called "Faithful and True" (Rev. 19:11)

Every Arab man had a "nickname" and Muhammad was known as "AMEEN"; which means "Faithful and True". He wore a white horse, and made war against the pagan Arab tribes. Muhammad did not wield a sword, but was an archer (bow).

Some Christians believe the one called "Faithful and True" is Jesus; Who will return riding a white horse and carrying a bow. But, these Verses don't refer to Jesus, but to Muhammad; Who wrote a white horse, and was an archer, and "conquered" pagan Arab tribes.

Muhammad did NOT fight against the Christians, but rather He protected them! He fought against PAGAN Arab tribes. Later Sunni Muslim armies fought the Christians, but Muhammad cannot be blamed for that! The Shi'ite Muslims never fought the Christians.

The first follower of Muhammad was His cousin and son-in-law, Alí ibn Talib, who founded the Shi'a ("shee-aw") Muslim party. Shi'a means "Party Member"; meaning "Member of the Party of Alí".

There are about 1 million people on Earth today, called the "People of the Truth", a sect that exists among the Kurds of Turkey, Iran, and Iraq, who believe that Muhammad was the reincarnation of Moses and Alí was the reincarnation of Jesus.

A few Bahá'ís believe (as Personal Belief) that the NAFS (Soul/Individuality) of Jesus "returned" in the Imaam Alí (son-in-law and cousin of the Prophet Muhammad) and also in 'Abdu'l-Bahá (awb-dull baw-HAW), the Eldest Son of Bahá'u'lláh. Why?

The Imaam Alí ibn Talib wrote:

"I am the WORD through Which all things are consummated and through which the Universes are brought into being." (Sermon of the Gulf)
In other words, Alí ibn Talib ("aw-lee ee-bin Taw-lib") the cousin and son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad, was the "return" of the WORD (the SOUL of Jesus).

Abbas Effendi (1868)

Abbas Effendi (which means "Sir Lion") was born in 1844. He was the Firstborn Son of Bahá'u'lláh. In 1868 He took the name-title of 'Abdu'l-Bahá (awb-dull baw-HAW); which means "Servant of Glory" in Arabic.

Many early Bahá'ís believed that 'Abdu'l-Bahá was the "reincarnation" of Jesus Christ. 'Abdu'l-Bahá vehemently rejected the title of Christ, saying that this title belongs to His Holiness (The Báb) and the Blessed Beauty (Bahá'u'lláh). However, He never denied He was the "return" of the Soul (NAFS) of Jesus.

Many early American and British Bahá'ís believed that 'Abdu'l-Baha was the reincarnation of the soul of Jesus. They wrote of Him: Lou Getsinger (early American Bahá'í)"

"Abbas is the heir and Master of the Kingdom; He was on earth 1900 years ago as the Nazarene." (Notes at Acca, p.24)
Asadullah (early Persian Bahá'í teacher and Personal Secrety of 'Abdu'l-Baha) wrote:
"He is the Son of God, the only Door, the Lord of Mankind." (Sacred Mysteries, p.74)
Thorton Chase (first American Bahá'í):
"He has come again in the Kingdom of His Father." (Before Abraham Was I Am, p.46)
Here is what other prominent early Bahá'ís wrote:
"Abbas is heir and Master of the Kingdom: he was on earth 1,900 years ago as the Nazarene." (Getsinger, Notes at Acca, p.24)
"If this is not the resurrection of that pure Spirit of the Nazarene of 1,900 years ago, then we need not look for another" (Corinne True, A Message from Acca)
"The Master, Abbas Effendi, the Lord of the Kingdom, is the one who was to renew and drink the cup with his disciples in the Kingdom of the Father, the one who taught the world to pray 'Thy kingdom come'." (Anton Hadad, A Message from Acca)
"I have seen the King is his beauty, the Master is here and we need not look for another. This is the return of the Lion of the tribe of Judah, of the Lamb that was once slain." (Mrs. Brittingham, The Revelation of Beha'O'llah, p.25)
A Protestant missionary to Persia (Iran), William M. Miller, wrote to of the early Bahá'í Message in America (around 1900A.D.):
"The Báb had announced that the Father had come, and that Father was Bahá'u'lláh. 'Abdu'l-Baha was Jesus Christ." (The Bahá'í Faith: Its History and Teachings, 1974, pp.193-194)
'Abdu'l-Baha told His followers He was not "the Christ" but that He was only the "Servant of Glory" ('Abdu'l-Baha). He was not the Christ-Spirit. The Christ-Spirit had overshadowed The Báb for 7 lunar years and later Bahá'u'lláh for 40 lunar years. Who was He then? Bahá'u'lláh wrote of Him:
"A WORD which God hath adorned with the ornament of His own self, and made It Sovereign over all that is therein." (World Order of Bahá'u'lláh, p.135)
'Abdu'l-Baha was NOT "Christ"!

Christians believe "Christ" refers to One Person: Jesus of Nazareth. But, in reality, "Christ" refers to Seven Messengers of God; starting with Jesus.

In the Apocalypse of John, Christ is presented as a slain Lamb of God; with seven eyes:

This symbol refers to Seven Messengers of God Who would atone for the sins of mankind. They are:

*Jesus
*Muhammad
*The Báb
*Bahá'u'lláh
*Three others Who will appear in the future.

Jesus Christ was a combination of two Divine Beings: the Holy Spirit and Jesus.

The Soul of Jesus was the WORD.

The Spirit of Jesus (which He received at His baptism) was the Christ (Spirit of Truth).

'Abdu'l-Bahá was not "Christ" but rather, the WORD incarnate.

'Abdu'l-Bahá was not a Manifestation of God. He was not a "Prophet" in the Baha'i sense of that term. What then? His Father identified Him as a "WORD" that God adorned with His own Self.

John, in the Gospel of John, wrote that the WORD of God became flesh as Jesus (John 1:1-2,14).

Christians believe that the WORD of God (the "Command" of ALLAH that created the Cosmos) would incarnate only one time; as Jesus of Nazareth.

Bahá'ís believe differently.

In the Book of Revelations (Apocalyse), John sees a vision on the Isle of Patmos (off of present-day Turkey), and in the vision the Angel of Jesus shows Him the Throne of God. Around the Throne are "four and twenty Elders" who worship the Slain Lamb. This may mean that the NAFS (Soul) of Jesus will come "24 times" as 24 different Men.

The 24 Elders of the Apocalyse casting their crowns before the Throne of God (Rev. 4:6)

Bahá'u'lláh was NOT the reincarnation of the Soul of Jesus, but the "return" of the Holy Spirit Who "dwelt" in Jesus from His baptism until the Cross. This is why Jesus cried: "My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?" just before He died. The Holy Spirit left Him. Why? Because the Soul of Jesus had to offer the Atonement for Adam; not the Holy Spirit. The Soul of Jesus was responsible to atone the sin of Adam; not the Holy Spirit.

I must emphasize that the belief that 'Abdu'l-Bahá is the "return" of the Soul of Jesus (the WORD of God) is not official Bahá'í doctrine, but personal belief. Bahá'ís are allowed "PB" (personal belief) as long as it doesn't clearly contradict "AD" (Accepted Doctrine).

Jesus Christ was a "combination" of two Divine Beings: the Holy Spirit and the WORD of God. Bahá'u'lláh was the Holy Spirit incarnate (in the flesh). His Firstborn Son 'Abdu'l-Baha was the "WORD" incarnate (in the flesh). A Prophet can "return" as two different individuals; another Prophet and a Chosen One.

The Prophets "return" in every Dispensation. Their Spirits return as Prophets. Their Souls (individualities) return as "Chosen Ones".

Human souls do NOT "return" to this material planet; according to official Bahá'í Teachings. The Prophets and Chosen Ones do not have "human" souls. Their Souls are the Names/Attributes of God.

THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD

Bahá'ís reject any notion of a "resurrection of the dead" when people will pop out of their graves (with dirt flying everywhere), dressed in their Sunday best, when Jesus appears in the sky surrounded by angels blowing trumpets.

By "Resurrection of the Dead" the meaning is twofold:

1) When a person accepts the Manifestation of God for their Day their "spirit" (which is dead) is raised from the dead, and they become a new person. Their ruh (spirit) was dead, but it now becomes "alive". This is also called being "born again". It is an inward thing.

2) When a new Manifestation of God comes there is a new Dispensation. With the coming of a New Dispensation is a "resurrection" of the dead; meaning that the Prophets and "Chosen Ones" who "die" during a previous resurrection "return" in the new Dispensation. In other words, the Spirit of Elijah was "resurrected" in the person of John the Baptist.

NOTE: There is no reincarnation of human souls upon this planet! But, the RUH (Spirit) and NAFS (Soul) of a Prophet or Chosen One "returns" in every Dispensation; sometimes as two different people. For Example, the Prophet Elijah "returned" as John the Baptist, but also Paul. His RUH (Spirit) returned as John the Baptist, but his NAFS (Soul/individuality) returned as the Apostle Paul; who was not a "Prophet" but a "Chosen One".

There is no resurrection of the physical body according to Bahá'í doctrine. The physical/material elements that make-up the physical body "returns" to the Earth never to be re-animated. The ethereal body, also called the "SOUL" is "released" from the physical body at death like a bird is released from a cage.

The soul (ethereal body) is released from the physical body at death like a bird is released from a cage.

The Ethereal Body is not a "spirit" and not a physical body, but something in-between. It has physical abilities, but is not bound by physical laws.

THE RAPTURE

The Bahá'ís have no "Rapture" doctrine. They do not believe that millions of Evangelical Christians will some day just "disappear" and fly up to the sky to meet Jesus in the "clouds". Bahá'ís interpret these things metaphorically.

The term "air" in Greek doesn't mean the place where the clouds hang, but the "unseen world" that surrounds us. Meeting Jesus "in the air" doesn't refer to flying up into the sky (which the Greeks called "heaven" and not "air"), but to meeting Him in the Unseen World.

The Spiritual Realms does not exist in the clouds nor beyond the starts but exists in the Unseen World which surrounds us in unseen dimensions. Thus, Jesus, and the Other Manifestations of God, are not somehwere out of in distance space, but They are among us still (Jesus said: "I will be with you always"). We simply can't "see" Them.

The Rapture refers what happens to us when we die. If we are truly "born again" then we shall see the Spiritual Realm in "the twinkling of an eye". But, if we are not "born again" then we shall literally "die" (i.e. our soul does to sleep), and we shall go far away from this planet probably to another material world to experience another moral life; with this process continuing until we finally are "born again".

For Bahá'ís, to be "born again" doesn't mean to recite the Sinner's Prayer after believing in our heart that Jesus is Lord. Rather, it means to reach an exalted state of spirituality while in mortality. Then the Holy Spirit "changes" our human spirit into an angelic spirit. When a born again person dies, they "See" the Unseen World where the Kingdom of God is.

THE END-TIMES ANTI-CHRIST

Bahá'ís reject the notion of "one" End-Times Anti-Christ! There will NOT be "one" End-Times Anti-Christ, but many many end-times Anti-Christs!

Bahá'í Scriptures teach that anyone who opposes the Manifestation of God is an "Anti-Christ". There will be many; not just one.

Muslims believe in Al-Dajjal ("The Liar") who will come at the time of the coming of the Imam Mehdi and the Return of Jesus to the earth. He will be named "Muhammad" and he will be from Isfahan (a city in Iran). He will "lead" the Jews of Isfahan. He will be blind in one eye. He will be killed by Jesus Himself near a village in Syria.

The "Anti-Christ" during the time of The Báb (bawb) was Siyyid Muhammad-i-Isfahani; who was at first a follower of The Báb, but, like Judas betrayed Christ, so he betrayed The Báb and proclaimed himself the "Prophet" of Soo-bee-Aw-zawl: the half-brother of Bahá'u'lláh who opposed Him and proclaimed He was the rightful Manifestation of God for this Age. Muhamamd-i-Isfahani converted many of the Jews of Isfahan. He was blind in one eye. There is evidence he was instumental in poisoning Bahá'u'lláh while He was in Akka Palestine (now Israel). He told the Turkish government many lies (Al-Dajjal means "The Liar") which caused the death of a number of Bahá'ís. Siyyid Muhammad-i-Isfahani was killed by a group of Bahá'ís, acting on their own initiative, outside of Akka, Palestine, in 1874.

Siyyid Muhammad-i-Isfahani fulfilled the Muslim prophecies concerning the coming of Al-Dajjal ("The Liar"), but he was by no means the "final" Anti-Christ! Indeed, many Anti-Christ will come in the future, and will continue to do so, as long as Humanity exists and as long as Manifestations of God are sent by God to Humanity. False prophets will always oppose the true Prophets.

THE NEW WORLD ORDER

Bahá'ís do agree a "New World Order" (one world government) will be established. According to a pilgrim's note (hearsay conversation), Bahá'u'lláh was asked how the world would become Bahá'ís when men had freedom of choice. Bahá'u'lláh purportedly replied that all nations would join one Confederation, but that the Muslims would attack the Jews and Christians, and the Christians and Jews and Hindus would fight back. So, the Confederation would outlaw all religion for several generations. But, after several generations the masses would become very wicked, so the leaders of the Confederation would choose one religion as a way to control the morals of the masses, and they would choose the Bahá'í Faith. Then, when the atheistic leaders of the Confederation were all dead, the new leaders (the Bahá'ís) would establish the World Order of Bahá'u'lláh.

In other words, the World would become Bahá'í in the same manner the pagan Roman Empire became Christian; by politicaly decree.

Under the New World Order, all religions will have freedom at first. Then the Muslims will attack non-muslims, and the non-muslims will attack the Muslims.

Then, to maintain peace, the leaders of the New World Order will outlaw all religions; including the Bahá'í Faith.

Then, when the leaders of the New World Order see that atheism creates chaos among the masses, they will choose the Bahá'í Faith as the ONE WORLD RELIGION.

Then, when the atheistist and agnostic leaders of the New World Order die, the Bahá'ís will take their places of power, and then establish the World Order of Bahá'u'lláh; which will allow freedom of religion again, but all people will be under the Law of Bahá'u'lláh.

Christians, and some Mormons, believe they can "fight" against the New World Order, and prevent it from happening; by using weapons, by hiding out in the forrests and mountains. But, it will happen! Whatever God allows to happen, will happen. We cannot "stop" the New World Order from being created. The "Bahá'í Plan" is to infiltrate it, so that, once the agnostic and atheistic leaders of the New World Order are gone, the Bahá'ís can fill their positions and convert the "New World Order" into "The World Order of Bahá'u'lláh"; God's Kingdom on Earth.

The World Order of Bahá'u'lláh is the Millennial Kingdom of Christ, and will reign for 1000 years.

Christians expect Jesus Christ to "return" by descending from a cloud upon the Mount of Olives Then Jesus will rule the Earth from a re-built Jewish Temple.

But...Jesus DID DE-CEND from a cloud upon the Mount of Olives, and appear to the Apostles, eleven years after He AS-CENDED; according to the Apostle Phillip in his book Pistis Sophia ("Faith's Wisdom").

Christians believe that "Christ" refers ONLY to one Man: Jesus of Nazareth.

The Jews believe that there are Two "Christs" (Messiahs): the Suffering Messiah (ben Joseph) and the Reining Messiah (ben David).

Bahá'ís believe they are Seven Christs; that "Christ" (the Slain Lamb of God with Seven Eyes) refers to Seven Messengers of God Who will atone for the sins of the world:

1) Jesus (crucified)
2) Muhammad (poisoned)
3) The Báb (shot)
4) Bahá'u'lláh (jailed/poisoned)
5) "The Fifth Angel"
6) "The Sixth Angel"
7) "The Seventh Angel"

We will not know the Names of the 5th, 6th, and 7th Angels (Messengers) until They appear to us. And the 5th Angel is not due until 1000 lunar years after 1863 A.D. (sometime in the 28th century--2700s).

Christians believe that Jesus Christ will sit in the re-built Jewish Temple for 1000 years, ruling the nations like a Supreme Court of One.

Baha'is believe that the "1000-year Reing of Christ" on Earth doesn't refer to Jesus sitting in a Jewish Temple, but the Law of God, as revealed by Bahá'u'lláh, will "rule" for 1000 years.

All of the Seven Messengers of God (Seven Eyes of the Lamb of God) are "Christ". They are ONE! They share the same SPIRIT: which is the Spirit of Truth. Their Souls (individualities) are different, but their SPIRIT is the same.

The Seventh Angel will, apparently, be the final Messenger of God for this planet, but other Messengers of God will be sent to other planets that Humanity will colonize many thousands of years from now.

All of them will be "anointed" (overshadowed) by the Spirit of Truth. The name "Christ" means "anointed". In Hebrew it is "Messiah". It means "anointed" with the Spirit of God.

In the World Order of Bahá'u'lláh most people will be Bahá'ís; because, for several generations, the New World Order will only promote the Bahá'í Faith in schools and universities; as a way to control the morality of the masses. Why will they choose the Bahá'í Faith? That is unclear. Perhaps it is because the Bahá'ís will help establish the New World Order since there are many Bahá'ís who work in the United Nations, and in the European Union, as administrators and secretaries.

Once the KINGDOM is established, all religions will be allowed to exist. But, the Civil Law will be the LAW OF GOD as revealed by Bahá'u'lláh in His book Kitab-i-Aqdas ("Most Holy Book") as interpreted by the Universal House of Justice (council of nine men).

Seat of the Universal House of Justice (Haifa, Israel

Christians belive that when Christ returns He will have a long sword that comes out of His mouth, which will kill all the wicked in the world, then He will reing from a throne in the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem for 1000 years.

Momons believe that Christ will somehow "burn" the wicked, then He will will have two "capitols"; the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem, and a New Temple built in the City of New Jerusalem to be built by Mormons in Jackson County, Missouri. Bahá'ís reject these notions as childish and absurd!

Whatever Prophets or Seers see in "visions" are not to be taken literally, but figuratively! For example:

*"Sword of His Tongue"--this doesn't mean a literal sword coming out of His mouth, but His "words" which "cut" to the soul.

**"The Wicked Consumed by Fire"--this doesn't mean Jesus will come spitting out fire-balls upon the wicked, killing them all. It is a metaphor meaning the wicked shall go to Hell-Fire! And Hell-Fire is also a metaphor (not literal). Of What? Read A Bahá'í View of the Afterlife.

Evangelical Christians, and Mormons, who think they can "oppose" the New World Order by voting Republican or Libertarian, or storing arms, or hiding in the mountains, are only deceiving themselves. What God allows to happen will happen! Our tiny arms cannot stop it. The NEW WORLD ORDER is a necessary evil; because it creates an international government that will eventually (after several generations) become the World Order of Bahá'u'lláh.

THE MARK OF THE BEAST

Evangelical Christians believe that in the last days the end-times Anti-Christ will arise and mark everyone on the forehead and right-hand with the number "666" and nobody can buy or sell without the "mark" of the Beast.

Most Bible scholars know that the "mark of the beast" refers to the "stamp" of the image of Nero that was placed upon all Roman Coins and business licenses. Without the "stamp" nobody could buy (coins) or sell (buiness licenses). There were two Roman taxes: the Head Tax (individual), and the Right-Hand (business) Tax.

The name HERO CEASAR in Hebrew is NERON KESAR. Every Hebrew letter is also a number, and NERON KESAR equals 600 and 60 and 6:

Nero was a great enemy of the Christians; burning them and feeding them to wild beast. On Roman coins he is called "SOTAR" ("Savior"). He was an "Anti-Christ". But not the only one.

The "Beast" of Revelations with 7 Heads and 10 Horns doesn't refer to the European Union (which has 28 members), but to the City of Rome; which was founded on 7 hills, and 10 Ceasars (kings) ruled Rome by the time John wrote the Apocalyse (Book of Revelation)

John wrote about things happening in HIS DAY; not in our day or some day in the future.

THE CITY OF NEW JERUSALEM

Joseph Smith taught that the City of New Jerusalem would "begin" in Jackson County, Missouri. Early Mormon apostles, such as Brigham Young, taught that the generation of Mormons living in 1832 would not all die until they returned to Jackson County and built the City of New Jerusalem and the Temple there.

Well, everyone living in 1832 is now dead! And, there is no City of New Jerusalem and no Temple in Jackson County. Did the prophecies fail!?

Perhaps not!

Perhaps the "City of New Jerusalem" is not a literal city, but a "community". Indeed, in 1860, the eldest son of Joseph Smith, Joseph Smith III, founded the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Jackson County, Missouri. They built a stone "Temple" in 1891 now called "The Stone Church".

The "RLDS Church" was established in opposition to the "LDS Church" ruled by Brigham Young. The RLDS Church denouced plural marriage, and many of the "new doctrines" that Brigham Young introduced in Utah; such as the Curse of Cain Doctrine (Negroes are the cursed children of Cain and cannot hold the priesthood in mortality), the Blood Atonement Doctrine (some siners must be killed to atone for their sins), and the Adam-God Doctrine (i.e. Adam is our Heavenly Father). Joseph Smth III preached that Brigham Young was a tyrant and false prophet.

The Stone Church was every bit a "Temple" in the same way the Kirkland Temple (built in 1836) was; not a place of secret rites, but a place of congregation.

Joseph Smith III

In the 1860s Joseph Smith III, and his brother David Smith (both sons of Joseph Smith), went as missionaries of the RLDS Church to Utah, and they succeeded in converting about 3,000 Mormons to the RLDS Church; just about all of whom went back to Jackson County and helped to build the Stone Church which was dedicated in 1891. Many of those living in 1832 were still living in 1891.

The RLDS Church changed it's name is 2000 to "Community of Christ" and built a massive new "Temple of Peace" in the late 1970s in Jackson County, Missouri.

On the other hand, the LDS Church still has no plans to build _any_ Mormon Temple in Jackson County.

Perhaps the Mormon prophesy that "those alive in 1832" would remain alive and help build a Temple in Jackson County was fulfilled after all; just not fullfilled in a way that the Utah Mormons would like!

But....God doesn't "work" like that! Prophecy is not "fulfilled" according to our "wants" and "likes" but according to God's.

Also, perhaps, just perhaps, the "City of New Jerusalem" is not a literal city with street-cars, and freeways, and sewers, and a fire department. Perhaps it means a "Community". Only time will tell.

There is nothing in the Bahá'í Scriptures about a literal "City of New Jersualem" being built in America. For Bahá'ís, the "Millennial Kingdom" is the World Order of Bahá'u'lláh which shall have international jurisdiction.

We assume the capitol of the World Order will be the Bahá'í World Centre in Haifa, Israel. However, it is quite possible that Jerusalem and perhaps even a city called "New Jerusalem" may play key roles in the World Order. We have no way of knowing as yet.

Most Bahá'ís see the "City of New Jerusalem" as a metaphor of the Bahá'í Faith, for example:

1) It has 12 "gates". The Bahá'í Faith is founded upon 12 "Principles" or "Foudations for World Unity".

2) Those who dwell in the City are 144,000. In Hebrew Grematria 144,000 means 1+4+4+0+0+0="9". The symbol of the Bahá'í Faith is "9". In Arabic, the Name is "BAHA" which is "B"(2)+"A"(1)+"H"(5)+"A"(1)="9".

The "City of New Jerusalem" is not a literal "City" but a "symbol" of something else. A City holds "people". It is a "community" of people somehow related to the number "9".
